What is WashNWag?
WashNWag is a network of self-service dog wash stations across Ireland. You bring your dog, the station provides the warm water, shampoo, conditioner, flea treatment and dryer, and you do the washing. There are 11 stations open at the moment, in Limerick, Cork, Clare, Galway, Kilkenny and Tipperary.
Do I need to book an appointment?
No. There's nothing to book and no one to ring. Turn up at any station whenever it suits you, tap your card and start. A muddy walk on a Sunday afternoon doesn't need to wait for a Tuesday appointment slot.
How does a self-service dog wash actually work?
It's three steps:
- Disinfect the tub. A quick spray down before your dog hops in.
- Choose your package. Pick your wash time on the touchscreen — 15, 20 or 30 minutes.
- Tap your card. The timer starts straight away and you're washing.
From there you rinse, shampoo, condition and dry, all with equipment that's already set up and waiting. There's nothing to assemble and nothing to bring. See the full walkthrough.
How long does it take to wash a dog?
Most dogs are washed, rinsed and dried inside 15 minutes — that's why the 15-minute package is the one most people pick. Bigger dogs, thick double coats or a properly muddy afternoon are better served by the 20 or 30-minute packages. If you misjudge it, you can add 5 more minutes for €5 without starting over.
Is WashNWag a dog groomer?
No — and the difference matters. A groomer takes your dog in, clips and styles the coat, trims nails and hands the dog back to you a few hours later. WashNWag is a self-service washing station: you wash your own dog, you're there the whole time, and you walk out in about 15 minutes.
If your dog needs a haircut, you want a groomer. If your dog just needs to be clean — after the beach, after the fields, after whatever it rolled in — that's what WashNWag is for, at a fraction of a grooming appointment. Plenty of people use both.
Do you offer a mobile dog wash that comes to my house?
No. WashNWag stations are fixed locations — you bring your dog to us rather than the other way around. That's what keeps a wash at €12.50 instead of a call-out fee, and it means there's no van to book and no waiting list. Find your nearest station.

One price, everything included, no membership and no add-on fees.
How much does it cost to wash a dog?
There are three packages, and every one includes the full kit:
- Full Wash — 15 minutes — €12.50. The most popular choice, and enough for the average dog.
- Big Wash — 20 minutes — €15.00. For larger breeds, thicker coats or a proper deep clean.
- Deep Clean — 30 minutes — €20.00. Best value for very large or extra-hairy dogs, or more than one dog.

There are no add-on fees and nothing to buy at the station. The price you see is the price you pay.
How do I pay?
Tap your card on the yellow terminal at the station. The timer starts straight away. There's no cash to bring, no app to download and no account to set up.
What happens if my time runs out while I'm still washing?
Tap your card again to add 5 more minutes for €5. You don't lose your place and you don't start a new session — you just carry on where you left off. Can I use a voucher?

What to expect on the day, whatever you're arriving with.
Is WashNWag suitable for all dog sizes?
Yes — the stations are built to take dogs of any size. Smaller dogs are usually done well inside 15 minutes; larger breeds and thick coats are better suited to the 20 or 30-minute packages, which simply give you more time rather than a different setup.
Do I need to bring anything?
Warm water, shampoo, conditioner, flea treatment and a dryer are all provided and ready to go — so for a normal wash, you and your dog are enough. Can I wash a puppy?

What shampoo and products do you use?
Every station is stocked with premium shampoo, a nourishing conditioner and flea treatment, all dispensed at the station. You choose what your dog needs on the day — there's nothing to buy separately and nothing to carry in.
Is there a dryer, or do I need to finish at home?
There's a powerful dryer built into every station, and it's included in the price. That's the part that makes the difference: your dog leaves dry, so there's no wet-dog smell in the car and no damp patches on the sofa when you get home.
Is the tub cleaned between dogs?
Yes. Disinfecting the tub is built into the wash as step one, before your dog goes in — it's on the screen and it's part of every session. So the tub you're using has been disinfected by the person before you, and you'll do the same for the person after you.

When are the stations open?

Is there parking at the stations?
Yes. Stations are sited where you can pull up beside them — shopping centres, forecourts and retail car parks — so you can park, walk your dog a few metres to the tub and load back into the car dry. Parking details for each station are on its own location page.
